Hey {{First_Name|mate}},

Last week I spoke about the mid-season mistake I’m seeing everywhere — too much volume.

If you missed it, you can read it here
👉 Mid-season mistake: doing too much

Now here’s the part most lads don’t realise.

The players who train too much mid-season.

They’re usually the ambitious ones.

The lads who:

  • Want to move up a level

  • Want to earn selection

  • Want to stand out

So they add more.

But mid-season, your body is already under stress:
Training.
Matches.
Contact.
Work.
Life.

Stack gym fatigue on top of that, and performance drops — even if strength goes up.

Ambition is good.

But ambition without structure just creates fatigue.

Next week, I’ll give you the simple rule I use to know if volume is helping or hurting.

Train like a player,
