We’re mid-season now.

And I’m seeing the same thing over and over.

Lads training hard…

But adding too much volume.

Extra sets.
Extra conditioning.
Extra “just in case” work.

It feels productive.

But mid-season isn’t about doing more.

It’s about doing enough to improve without ruining Saturday.

If you’re constantly feeling heavy on game day, it’s rarely effort that’s the issue.

It’s accumulated fatigue.

Next week I’ll explain why ambitious players are the ones who fall into this trap the most.
